Daviess County Jail Roster Overview
The official Daviess County jail roster is reached through the DCDC Inmate Lookup page. That page embeds the public JailTracker/OMS application for the county. It is the local search point for people housed at Daviess County Detention Center after arrest, commitment, or local sentencing. The roster is not a full criminal-history report. It is a jail record that reflects what the detention center can release to the public.
Daviess County custody is different from many states because the sheriff does not run the jail. The Daviess County Sheriff's Office handles law enforcement, warrants, transport, civil process, court security, and related duties, but Kentucky jailers operate county jails. DCDC records, open-records requests, inmate accounts, visitation, mail, public-information limits, and the roster all route through the detention center.
The DCDC public-information page is important because it names the fields that can be released. It says public information may include age, arrest date, bond information, charges, name, and release dates for past inmates. It also says addresses, court dates, date of birth, cell locations, medical records, PREA information, SAP participation, current-inmate release dates, and transport information are not released to the public.
Use the Daviess County Inmate Roster
Exact spelling is the best starting point. If the roster produces no result, remove extra fields and try the last name only. A person booked minutes ago may not yet appear. A person who has been released may show as a past inmate only if that record remains available. A sentenced state offender may have moved to KOOL, while federal and ICE custody may require federal locators even if the person was once housed at DCDC.
- Open the official Daviess County inmate lookup page.
- Enter the last name. Add a first name if several records match.
- Complete the captcha or new-captcha prompt if the roster displays one.
- Open the matching profile and compare age, arrest date, charges, and bond information.
- If the person is not listed, call DCDC or use open records, KOOL, BOP, ICE, or VINELink based on custody type.
The roster frame is shown on the jail site before the vendor application loads. The official roster frame page confirms the county source for the search.
Using the county's own roster entry point helps avoid confusing Daviess County with unrelated commercial search pages.
Daviess County Roster Search Fields
The JailTracker/OMS application is JavaScript based, and text capture did not expose every option. The research confirmed the basic search controls and the presence of captcha text. Keep the search narrow enough to identify a person, but broad enough to survive spelling or data-entry differences.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Name | Text | Unspecified | Use after a last-name search returns too many matches. |
| Last Name | Text | Unspecified | Main search field. Exact spelling helps. |
| Search Type / Options | Dropdown or option control | Unspecified | App strings indicate search options, but the full list was not visible in text capture. |
| Captcha / New Captcha | Captcha | Conditional or required | Complete it when shown before submitting. |
| Offender Search / Search | Button | n/a | Runs the public roster query. |
Daviess County Inmate Profile Fields
A public DCDC inmate profile is an access point, not the full jail file. It helps confirm custody and basic booking information. Some missing data is intentional. Court dates are checked through court systems, medical information stays private, and cell locations are not public. Bond data should also be treated as a starting point because detainers or court conditions can block release.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The publicly releasable identifying name. |
| Age | A public age field. DCDC does not release date of birth. |
| Arrest date | The arrest or booking date in the jail system. |
| Charges | Booking charges as held by the jail. Prosecutors may later change court charges. |
| Bond information | Bond amount, type, or status if entered on the roster. |
| Release date | Available for past inmates when retained; not released for current inmates. |
| Mugshot / booking photo | Not confirmed as a public DCDC field in text capture. Image controls exist in the app, but a public photo should not be assumed. |
The DCDC public-information page lists what the jail treats as public and what it withholds.
That field list is the best local source for deciding whether to use the roster, the court clerk, or an open-records request.
Daviess County Custody Search Channels
Daviess County Detention Center is a mixed custody site. It holds county pretrial inmates, local sentenced inmates, state local-facility inmates, federal/USMS prisoners, and ICE detainees by contract. That means one name may require more than one search channel. A current DCDC roster hit is strong evidence of local custody, but an empty search does not prove a person is free.
| Custody Question | Where to Search | Best Use |
|---|---|---|
| Recent Daviess County arrest or local jail custody | DCDC JailTracker/OMS roster | Current booking, local charges, bond information, past-inmate release date if retained |
| Sentenced Kentucky state custody | KDOC KOOL | State offender location, DOC status, aliases, photos-only searches |
| Custody-status notification | Kentucky VINELink | Victim notification and custody-change registration |
| Sentenced federal inmate | BOP inmate locator | Federal inmates from 1982 to present |
| Immigration detainee | ICE detainee locator | A-number or biographical ICE search |
The Daviess Sheriff mobile app exists for tips, public-safety news, and interactive sheriff-office features, with Apple and Google store listings. The research did not confirm an inmate lookup or warrant search feature in the app, so it should not replace the jail roster.
Daviess County Jail Contact Card
The only confirmed public detention facility physically serving Daviess County jail custody is DCDC. Kentucky DOC report rows for Daviess #1, SAP #2, RCC #3, and RCC #4 are components of the same county detention system. Use the same main facility contact for roster, booking, visitation, account, and open-records routing unless DCDC gives a specific extension.

Daviess County Booking and Intake
After an arrest by the sheriff, Owensboro Police, Kentucky State Police, a federal agency, or another authority, the person may be transported or committed to DCDC. Intake can include search, property processing, a booking photo, fingerprints, basic data gathering, and medical or mental-health screening. Kentucky Court of Justice Pretrial Services operates in all 120 counties and conducts interviews or assessments within 24 hours for bailable offenses when required.
The public result is usually the roster entry. Newly booked inmates may not have immediate access to every public feature. DCDC says video visits and chats may become available online through CorrectPay 16 hours after booking, except during head counts and restrictions. Medical requests after intake go through inmate kiosks, and Southern Health Partners provides on-site care.
- Booking
- The jail intake record created after arrest or commitment.
- Bond
- A court release condition. In Kentucky it may be recognizance, unsecured, cash, property, or another judge-set condition.
- Detainer
- A hold or request from another agency, such as ICE, USMS, parole, or another county.
- Classification
- The jail's internal process for placement, security, programs, and custody management.
Daviess County Visitation and Calls
DCDC does not provide public in-person visits. Public visits use CorrectPay video visits or chats after the person has been booked long enough to appear and after facility restrictions allow it. Head-count blackout windows differ slightly between the web page and the 2026 handbook, so users should check the current DCDC visitation page before paying for a visit.
| Service | Rules / Schedule | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Public in-person visits | Not available at DCDC | n/a |
| Video visits | CorrectPay; may become available 16 hours after booking; generally available except head counts and restrictions | One free 15-minute visit per inmate per week; four additional paid visits |
| Paid visits | 15-minute block | $5.70 plus tax; 2026 handbook lists $6.29 with tax |
| Chats | No appointment; 15-minute maximum; no limit on number | $0.38 plus tax per minute |
| Attorney/professional visits | May use in-person or confidential booth visits if approved | Verify with facility |
The DCDC visitation page is the local source for video-visit rules and blackout periods.
Because visits depend on booking status and head counts, custody should be confirmed before scheduling or paying.
Daviess County Open Records and Funds
When the roster does not provide enough information, DCDC open records is the local fallback. A request must be written, signed, dated, include the requester's address and Kentucky-residency statement, and describe the requested record with enough detail. DCDC lists openrecords@daviesscojail.org for email requests and the jail address for mail or in-person delivery. Under Kentucky open-records rules, the response window is five business days excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.
Money and communications use separate systems. Deposits can be made at the Building 1 lobby kiosk, through CorrectPay online, by CorrectPay phone, or by approved cashier's check, certified check, or money order mailed to the jail bookkeeper. If an inmate owes fees, 50% of deposits are deducted toward those fees. Phone service uses Combined Public Communications/InmateSales, and public users cannot call inmates directly.
